Started with me getting up at 8 and eventually finding myself at the barn for 9:30. The first five hours of my day were spent working at my one coaches spring break cam,p which loosely translates to me getting payed to brush and goof around with horses. It was actually super fun because we got to hike in the wooded part of the back paddock and the horses walked with us (they hate it back there so that was strange) and I got to ride bareback and all the campers thought that was amazing.
Once my mum picked me up we went over to my favourite tack shop to look at saddles for my new pony (pictures will be coming soon). I found a childeric, Antares and tad coffin that I really liked so now it’s just a matter of which fits best. I also ordered two saddle pads with Swarovski crystals in them, they sound gross but they’re actually really nice.
When all the fun shopping was done I got to see my ponies. Chaos was superb as per usual. He was a little frightened by the sound of the snow falling off the arena roof but once we got jumping he was a star. He got all his leads and was doing flying changes like a pro! Then Dayo had her lesson. Her trainer was a little late so we didn’t get as much time as we liked but Dayo was working really well. She was a little forward but she soon settled down and was clearing fences nicely. I didn’t end up getting home until around 8pm but I didn’t mind because it was a full day of ponies!
